OPaL in the DAHEJ SEZ sector

The 5th Vibrant Gujarat Global Investment Summit 2011 saw participation from many Countries, Indian States and Companies, using the Vibrant Gujarats platform, to show case their strengths in various sectors. More than 13 Country and State seminars were organized during the 2 day long summit, held on 12 and 13th Jan 2011. The Summit was kicked off by honorable Chief Minister of Gujarat State, Shri. Narendra Modi.

Among the corporate heads who shared the dais with the chief minister were Ratan Tata , Mukesh and Anil Ambani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Gautam Adani, A.M. Naik, Adi Godrej , Anand Mahindra , G.M. Rao, Ajit Gulabchand and Karsanbhai Patel.

Overseas dignitaries included Rwandan Prime Minister Bernard Makuza, Ugandan Planning Minister Kamuntu Ephraim, Trinidad and Tobago's Tourism Minister Rupert Griffith

Many of these dignitaries along with various other renowned entrepreneurs participated in seminars and discussions and were able to garner huge participation and investors interest and were a great success.

The Vibrant Gujarat Summit provided a great opportunity to the State to display its strengths, progressive stance, initiatives taken to improve governance, investor friendly climate and art & culture of Gujarat.

Vibrant Gujarat afforded local players an opportunity to interact with national and international players, top Government officials from various departments and sectors and encouraged the bureaucracy, and motivated government workers and agencies to work hard and get organized.

The Summit this time had participation from 101 Countries, with over 1400 foreign delegates. About 7,936 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were signed for Rs. 20,83,000 ($ 450 billion) crore at Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2011. Around 100 tie-ups with leading institutions from across the globe for exchange of knowledge were forged. 

ONGC Petro additions Ltd. underwent an additional Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing of Rs. 6,000 Crores with Dahej SEZ Ltd. during Vibrant Gujarat 2011 on 12th Jan 2011

Taken together with the pre-events and the major exhibition the Vibrant Gujarat Summit has attracted some 20,000 participants from 19 Indian states and 60 countries.

It was a great pleasure being a part of the event that has provided us with a platform to make our presence felt globally.
