The 15th edition of International Plastics Fare (IPF) was kicked off in Dhaka on 22nd February 2023. It was jointly organised by the Bangladesh Plastic Good Manufacturers and Exporters Association and Yorker Trade and Marketing Service Company at the International Convention City, Bashundhara. It was a flagship event in Bangladesh for four days that ended on 25th February 2023. ONGC Petro additions Ltd (OPaL) was the only petrochemical producer from India with a sizable stall in the event depicting our commitment to the exports policy of 'NEIGHBOURHOOD FIRST,' considering Bangladesh as a natural extended market for India, apart from Nepal.

OPaL was represented by a delegation led by Shri Neeraj Kumar, DGM – Marketing; along with Shri Utsav Parikh, Dy. Manager – Marketing; and Abhishek Sharma, Dy. Manager – Marketing. OPaL stall received a good response with visits from the major market players and customers across sectors. The OPaL stall was inaugurated by Shri Pratik Negi, First Secretary (Eco & Commerce), High Commission of India, Dhaka. Shri Neeraj Kumar welcomed him to the stall and briefed him in detail about OPaL and its product portfolio. Issues concerning trade with Bangladesh were also brought to his notice with a plausible solution to ease the doing of business.

The OPaL brand was acknowledged, with deep praise and gratification, even by Md. Jashim Uddin, President, Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) on Indian ties with Bangladesh. This international event was the first ever event, where a new Corporate Film was showcased after its formal inauguration by Chairman-ONGC on 12th February, 2023 at Dahej.

The event was marked by some intense customer meetings and deep discussions with traders and freight forwarders alike. Many traders also showed keen interest in doing direct business with OPaL, which reflects the growth of the brand in the neighbouring market. The majority of the customers (actual users) expressed their happiness with OPaL with regard to regularity in offers, timely dispatches with better coordination with all internal and external stakeholders. OPaL shipments and smooth transactions were also appreciated by all customers during the interactions. OPaL grade feedback was also collected from the actual users at IPF. The overall acceptability of OPaL grades offered in Bangladesh was found to be good, and customers were quite satisfied with product performance.
